We are seeking a motivated Field Care Supervisor to support
the safe, high-quality delivery of domiciliary care across the Darlington area.
You will work closely with the Care Coordinator and care team to ensure care is
delivered in line with individual care plans, company standards, and CQC
expectations.
This is an office-based role with some field care work, requiring strong
organisation, communication, and the ability to support and develop care staff.
Key
Responsibilities
- Carry out service user
assessments, care plan reviews and risk assessments.
- Complete supervisions,
spot checks and competency assessments for care staff.
- Support staff
inductions, shadow shifts, and ongoing training/mentoring.
- Ensure accurate
documentation, including care plans, MAR-related observations (where
applicable), and daily notes.
- Support quality
assurance, audits, and continuous improvement in line with CQC Key Lines
of Enquiry (KLOEs).
- Respond to and escalate
concerns appropriately, including safeguarding and incident
reporting.
- Liaise professionally with
service users, families, social workers and other professionals.
- Support rota/coverage where
required, including responding to short-notice changes.
- Participate in on-call
and support out-of-hours decision-making.
Essential
Criteria
- Experience in domiciliary
care
- Strong understanding
of CQC standards, person-centred care, and safeguarding.
- Some understanding of
completing assessments, reviews, spot checks and staff supervision.
- Excellent communication and
record-keeping skills.
- IT literate
- Team Player
- Ability to work independently and manage
time effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and
access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
Criteria
- NVQ/RQF Level 3 in Health & Social
Care (or working towards).
- Knowledge of MCA,
consent, and best practice in community care

Operations Manager
Pay: £28,500 a year
